Therma-Tru specializes in steel doors and fiberglass entryway doors that mimic the appearance of wood. Therma-Tru has recently expanded its product line to offer urethane millwork, thus rounding out options for maintenance-free entry products that stand up to the elements.
About Therma-Tru Doors
Therma-Tru offers two basic doors as well as trim and millwork to complement them. Both entry and patio doors from Therma-Tru can be painted or stained to provide the appearance of real wood.
Entry doors are the company’s primary product and can be made of fiberglass or steel. Fiberglass products come in five variations including mahogany and oak look-alike patterns as well as smooth and fire-rated options. Therma-Tru’s AccuGrain technology allows the company to produce fiberglass that has the graining of natural wood. Steel entry products come in wood-like, galvanized, fire-rated, and pulse options. Pulse doors are made using advanced technology to provide clean lines, sharp angles, and vintage styling. Steel doors are often more economical than fiberglass.
French and hinged patio doors are produced using fiberglass and Therma-Tru’s AccuGrain technology. Fiberglass doors are offered in mahogany and oak looks as well as in a smooth option. Sliding patio doors are produced using vinyl cladding, which is only available as a smooth finish.
Trim and Millwork
Trim and millwork are made of either urethane or PVC. Each piece can match the grain and color of any Therma-Tru door.
All Therma-Tru doors can be fitted with decorative glass in a variety of colors, shapes, textures, and caming options. All glass is backed by a lifetime limited warranty when installed in a fiberglass door. Buyers can also customize doors by choosing from specialty glass options such as impact-rated glass, divided lites, internal blinds, and privacy glass.
Therma-Tru Warranties and Energy Efficiency
Fiberglass products come with a limited lifetime warranty. Steel doors have warranties that extend from 5 to 15 years depending on construction and finish options. All fire-rated steel doors have 15-year warranties unless they are within 5 miles of saltwater, in which case the warranty is 10 years. All fire-rated doors achieve 90-minute or 60-minute positive pressure readings. More than 80% of Therma-Tru door and class options are ENERGY STAR qualified as well as National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) certified.
